Study of Literature

literature "The difficulty of literature is not to write, but to write what you mean; not to affect your reader, but to affect him precisely as you wish."

What is literature? Why do we read it? Why is literature important?

We at Amitabh Buddhist Society impart the knowledge and value of writing, learning, and reading which collectively known as the “literature”. Literature is a term used to describe written or spoken material. Broadly speaking, "literature" is used to describe anything from creative writing to more technical or scientific works, but the term is most commonly used to refer to works of the creative imagination, including works of poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction.

In today’s world the education is the most important weapon to fight against the world of competition. We at ABS provide this weapon to each and every individual and especially to those people who doesn’t have any support So we support and encourage people those who wish to progress their knowledge in the field of culture bases literature, for well knowing the knowledge about history, philosophy, religion, politics, etc. we will provide all learning materials as per requirement.

Our perspective is to make the society and education systems realize that Literature doesn’t represent a language or a people: culture and tradition. But, literature is more important than just a historical or cultural artifact. Literature introduces us to new worlds of experience. We learn about books and literature; we enjoy the comedies and the tragedies of poems, stories, and plays; and we may even grow and evolve through our literary journey with books.

Ultimately, we may discover meaning in literature by looking at what the author says and how he/she says it. We may interpret the author's message. In academic circles, this decoding of the text is often carried out through the use of literary theory, using a mythological, sociological, psychological, historical, or other approach.

Whatever critical paradigm we use to discuss and analyze literature, there is still an artistic quality to the works. Literature is important to us because it speaks to us, it is universal, and it affects us. Even when it is ugly, literature is beautiful.

We at ABS promote literature in today’s world as it has lost its value somewhere in this performance oriented education system where skill has left its meaning far behind. Literature gives order to human experience. We strongly believe, Literature explores cultural values.

Literature demands an emotional response from the reader.

Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval so he should go ahead with his interest in the particular field as in literature and ABS is here to support him even with the learning materials as per the requirements.

We at ABS would like to spread the knowledge that study of literature cannot be restricted to only studying languages. In fact, literature cannot be confined to an educational curriculum. A degree in language and literature is perhaps unable to provide one, with everything that literature can offer.

We at ABS believe that Classical literary works, serve as food for thought and a tonic for imagination and creativity. Exposing an individual to good literary works, is equivalent to providing him/her with the finest of educational opportunities. On the other hand, the lack of exposure to classic literary works is equal to depriving an individual from an opportunity to grow as an individual. True, languages are the building blocks of literature.
