Aerobics & Chi

aerobics & chi "The word aerobics comes from two Greek words: “aero”, which means "ability to," and “bics”, which means "withstand tremendous boredom"

Aerobics is a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness (flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness). It is usually performed to music and may be practiced in a group setting led by an instructor (fitness professional), although it can be done solo and without musical accompaniment. With the goal of preventing illness and promoting physical fitness, practitioners perform various routines comprising a number of different dance-like exercises. Formal aerobics classes are divided into different levels of intensity and complexity. Aerobics classes may allow participants to select their level of participation according to their fitness level. Ideally, Aerobics doesn't have age boundaries. People of any age can perform aerobic exercises. Even an hour daily every morning would definitely keep you fit and free from all diseases. WE at ABS cater to all age groups for the same.

ABS recommends everyone perform aerobic exercise as its energetic enough and vigorous, lasts long enough and if done regularly it's enough to keep your heart and lungs in good conditions. Aerobic exercises burn fat faster than any other type of exercise. We believe that, if we are regular in aerobics then we won't be vulnerable to the dangerous diseases.

The word aerobic literally means "with oxygen" or "in the presence of oxygen." Chi means "energy". Human body is a hydraulic machine. We at ABS introduce and teach the concept of chi and aerobics, which is an art of breathing to sustain human body fresh and healthy.

As the heart muscle becomes stronger and more efficient, a larger amount of blood can be pumped with each heartbeat. We at ABS emphasize on health and hence promote the acceptance of regular exercise in the daily routine. Regular participation in aerobic and other physical activities offers many health benefits. A good aerobic exercise program can help us live a longer, healthier life and enhance our well being. We at ABS join hands with many aerobic training organizations and encourage people to participate for the same. Aerobic workouts make us feel better so that we can enjoy life more. A session of aerobic activity can help in relaxing after a stressful day at work.  We at ABS conduct many such open promotive sessions.

ABS wish to spread the awareness about the benefits, aerobic exercise impulses the heart and circulatory system of the body and beyond the easy pace of many every day activities. This stress obliges the body to adapt causing many changes which benefit us in lots of ways. The health benefits we obtain of the aerobic exercise are almost vital, not only does this kind of exercise help to regulate weight; it also limits the opportunities of developing many frequent illness and diseases.

Some of such benefits are:

Increases in:

  1. Heart health
  2. Blood supply to heart and muscles
  3. Muscular endurance
  4. Body`s use of oxygen
  5. Mood, self-esteem, and self-concept

Decreases in:

  1. Risk of diabetes
  2. Risk of some cancers
  3. Risk of cardiovascular disease
  4. Shortness of breath
  5. Fatigue
  6. Blood pressure
  7. Cholesterol level
  8. Blood sugar
  9. Body fat
  10. Anxiety and depression

We at ABS conduct multiple sessions, distribute CDs, pamphlets, etc to spread the importance of aerobics."Those who think they have not time for bodily exercise will sooner or later have to find time for illness."

There are three factors that you should keep in mind before starting any aerobic exercise; they are frequency, intensity and talk test. We at ABS emphasize and elaborate on all the factors.

As ABS has now made you aware of the benefits of aerobics but we want you to know, it can take bad turn, if not done in the right way and at the right time. So care should be taken not to start any kind of aerobic exercise suddenly and vigorously. This is especially true if you are starting for the very first time. Sudden and intensive exercise can cause more harm than good. It can lead to muscle injuries and sprains. We at ABS conduct sessions to train people about when and how aerobics should be done. We also spread many such important tips on performing aerobic exercises.
